This project involved the major reworking and extension of a 1960's bungalow which had been badly flood damaged. The scope of the works include re-planning of all internal spaces, an attic conversion and a 30m2 rear sunroom extension.
The design of the project emerged from discussions with the client about lifestyle and a desire for a connection to the outdoors. Sliding pocket doors allow the dwelling to be open plan or subdivided internally as required, while the new 5m wide external folding glass screen creates a connection to the rear garden, allowing the new sun room to spill out onto the new timber decking. External finishes are closely matched to the existing building in order to create a sense uniformity to the whole house.
